heL^_x's bkz_goldbhop
I saw heL^_x's goldbhop run and i'm sure he didn't kill himself at the end of the run :).
So the question is, why was the demo accepted :D ?

heL^_x demo was accepted simply due to the fact that it's clearly shown that he pressed the stop bind by complete mistake. Check all his other demos, he kills himself in every single one. I'm not a very close friend of him (more like 'short chat now and then'-friend) and yes he is extremely good and yes he probably beat kunquis best demo, but he did beat the demo, and I can see heL^_x's name everywhere nowadays. fps death, demofreak, ingame LJ stats, speaking ingame etc. That's why I also think that this rule is old as the time when we didn't have lj stats, fps death or anything else to see the players name. I know it's an oldschool rule, and it filled it's purpose during those times - but that time has served out 4 years ago. Rules should be obeyed, and this was the last time for heL^_x, but I wanted to show some good spirit. Yet a few people, Yes, a very few people, complain. And sadly those voices are read, and grows to a little larger number - which is still a piss in the ocean compared to the people that think I made the correct decision. Off to bed now.

Ok, all my demos was clean, so can i submit a demo with sv_gravity 600 ? What a stupid shit..
It should not be acepted.. + some warningns/bans becouse of submiting a demo against the rules..
The rules is rules and it the same for all users. Does not matter how u good or not or if have 9184719849 world records or not..

I'm sure, he didn't cheat, or did anything in the demo which is against the rules, so the demo can be accepted imo

The rules says "Kill yourself at the end of the demo." and that is the point,,

01/08/2009 02:46haha oh come on. comparing it to sv_gravity is not right in any way. he failed to kill himself at the end of the demo, and really the whole suicide at the end of the demo thing comes from old rules but is more like a trademark or ritual these days. the rule could just as well be removed. cut him some slack.

It's was just a mistake. He doesn't want to do it. He was played with a part of my cfg (cuz I past 12days on his home) and on my cfg mouse4 = stoprecord. He dnno the bind.. so it's was just a mistake..
btw remember you in the past. heL recorded somes demos and they wasnt accepted due to models.
And why thopa 'denied' demo's models? Cuz if you're just DL the demo kz_kzse_toonworld_Lolz_0244 and just DL the map you can't watch it. You need the model number..

Maybe he (or another admin) should just change it like the ljstats, that you should preferably record without ljstats, but it is okay to have them in your demo anyway. I do believe that ljstats can give you a little advantage, but how could not killing yourself be an advantage? It is something you do after you have done your run, so who really cares?
I still think people should continue killing themselves at the end, it gives a better end on the demo (that's just subjective), and if the player doesn't say anything, it's nice to see his name at the end of the demo too.

ok. the rule can be removed then. kill command at the end of the demo should be done only if the player wants. am i right?
