Maybe he (or another admin) should just change it like the ljstats, that you should preferably record without ljstats, but it is okay to have them in your demo anyway. I do believe that ljstats can give you a little advantage, but how could not killing yourself be an advantage? It is something you do after you have done your run, so who really cares?

I still think people should continue killing themselves at the end, it gives a better end on the demo (that's just subjective), and if the player doesn't say anything, it's nice to see his name at the end of the demo too.


Agree, but my demos are being denied for a thing that doesn't affect my run in any way, so to be fair, my demo has to be accepted OR heL's has to be denied.

EDIT: Actually according to the rules my demo should be accepted and heL's denied. I kinda said this in the comments already, but it's pretty hilarious.

I have also had demos denied because I didnt kill myself at the end of the demo, but hey who cares? The rule sucks and should be removed.

I forgot to kill myself on my prochallenge_speed demo a long time ago, but it got accepted anyways ^^ but later on I improved it so it didn't matter after all.

Some other minor adjustments

One of the pretty old rules, which caused some controversy in the latest release, got updated as well.

Kill yourself at the end of the demo. At the time you kill yourself, you must have a nickname which is the same as the nick you submit the demo with.

The nickname you are using in your demo has to be the same as the nick you submit the demo with. Make sure you are using your correct nickname and that it's visible somewhere in the demo. To achieve this we strongly suggest that you kill yourself at the end of the demo.



killing yourself is not neccesary anymore as i read there, as long as your nick is correct.. :)
it is recommend to kill yourself, but you don't have too.. or am i understanding this change of the rule in a wrong way?

yes, the kill rule is just to see the nickname of the recorder... so that's not needed for hel's demo.

Bureaucracy suck forever, therefore it`s only logically what that rule was a bit changed in order to avoid what somebodys demo isn`t accepted for no reason at all.

it'd be just wrong not to accept a 0131 on goldbhop because of some suicide shit
it was changed now anyway if i remember right
