Also, what's 'prestrafing' and how does it affect your speed/distance?

Not certain this is the right section but anyway:

Can someone explain the reasons why sprinting works and how moving your legs faster increases speed?

Also, what's 'moving your legs' and how does it affect your speed/distance?

And what would make the PERFECT run, lets say you did everything right one time - what would it need (timing wise, movement wise, etc) for a 100m sprint

I've been practising 100m this week with the intent to manage a 9.55 run, 0.3 faster than WR

With no experience of walking or running until this week, and only from watching TV I've managed 9.59 runs (from the timer stats and a +1.3m/s wind resistence) - not sure how I can improve without actual knowledge behind how it works.

So experts, enlighten me :) if I manage to get placed high in the WR sprint records by the end of the week/month I plan to make a minimovie of my findings, might be interesting so let me in on everything you know :)
