Do you feel deserted recent on KZ???

About the cheats... No demand to be 100% correct, but the first bhop hack that was "undetectable" (with the normal fps-death admin readings) was found after thopa's era and needs some further and special checking. Futhermore nasty stuff like engine altering plugins such as sidespeed, changing only a few digits, and other forms of slowmo (we/eDark [that's a really hard thing to do, even for admins who know how to do it] can detect like 5 different ways of slowing down the game atm) were invented as well.
bhop hack? really? who used it? o.O

So the thing I don't get, why don't you really recrute for new Admins? When I sent faker an application I got ignored until I wrote to him on IRC. All I got back from him was: "We are already working on someone, sry."
I'm not attacking faker now, it's just like: Admins say something happens, but in fact I think nothing does.
Ofcourse the new league is a great invention, but still, why are there leagues and cups and stuff like that, if there are only 2 semi-active (it seems like semi-active) Demo Admins?
Sorry if im failing but isn't XJ mainly focused on investigating Who is the best on a map and not on who is the most luckiest guy in a period of 5 minutes on a random map?
It's just weird
I really can't believe that there are people who find it interesting to have demoreleases to be the only thing to keep XJ from hitting the ground.
Your comparison with who is the best on a map and who is the best in a cup doesn't make sense to me. In cups you can see who really has skills, who is the most "all-round", who can play well on almost every map they enter, and who can climb under pressure. As for demos, it's more like "who can geek the most", isn't it? As for record demos, I would actually say that it's more like "who is the best in a period of 5 minutes".
Well, I (and if I say I, I really mean me, and not the community) am not interested in this cup-idea.
Ofcourse it's cool if you take part on it, but imo its just boring to read who won where... I just think that more people are intrested in seeing WRs than in seeing that zhady won 5:0 vs M@ugli. And the demos themselves are really boring to watch imo, aren't they?
Ok, it's probably because people like different things.
But your whole comment was answering one single argument in my whole complaination (I don't know if this word exists)
You clearly don't have anything close to any knowledge on how hard adding demoadmins to the team is. The part where you have to learn everything is incredibly demanding and the part where you need to find a trustworthy person is also generally demanding. (finding a trustworthy person is a piece of cake when comparing it to learning the demo-checking system). We also need to add that currently there are lots of exams/tests going on.
Oh, and I do find cup-demos entertaining for a change, as then you get to see what skill they actually have. Less luck, more skill. Zhady's demos are sick even in cups.
About your comment on how admins work, no really, we are not tired of our work, we do this at our own will. All admins are free to leave the staff at any time. You were given a reason why faker didn't wish to recruit you at that moment.
We do not like to involve non-admins because everything generally runs smoother when we just work ourselves, but that does not mean we simply deny all the help we can get. It all depends on the situation. Obviously we like to use our own team infront of others, and if not, then we would change team.
There we go, volte, I just replied to a couple of your comments here.

ahh i see. i had thought slowmo was always around in one form or another. but yes i know he wasnt "banned" but it seemed as if he was shunned from the community, so to speak
Yeah it was, but as I said they "developed"/used other forms/programs of slowmotion over the timer, after the first ones were detectable etc.
And about thopa: It was pretty much his own decision, I had a last talk with him that went absolutely civilized (he was always a very intelligent, calm and mature guy, I also do miss him in some way :/)... he knew he was taking a big risk when he decided to share fps-death with CC even tho he knew we was absolutely forbidden to do so... but he trusted s1ze and saw absolutely no harm in giving it to him. But it got passed and passed to other people (ze internet) so he saw what damage he caused by doing that mistake in the first place and he said by hisself (even before he got kicked) that he probably never will be able to forgive himself for doing that because he damaged the stuff we tryed to protect so badly for years, the integrity of the XJ records, and as a result he retired almost completely.
That is kind of the full story behind it.
Ok, it's hard to involve someone into the big world of demo-checking blabla...
But how long should this go on like this?
Will ndR still check demos if he is 30 years old?
Will you guys never let anyone have a closer look to the demo-check-stuff?
I mean faker told me, as a 0815 reason, that you are working on someone else... but if I see stuff like: "We like doing things on our own" I cant imagine that.
And about ndR: I still don't get you... why do you first say like: "We are really recruiting for admins atm"
but then, if someone sends application, he gets ignored until he messages admins to get a straight no with a short reason but never having a closer look to the person?
Im not complaining now, or crying that im not admin. But still
We are attempting to add demoadmins, but it is incredibly hard. You cannot say with credible information that we don't. The thing is it takes A LOT of time, and a lot of the people who try never makes it, or kind of gives up after attempting to learn for some time.
We do look into recruiting new admins, but not everyone fits, and well you recieved a direct message from the CEO telling you that we didn't need your assistance at the moment.
volte: I was going to reply your PM btw, but I usually take my time before I reply PMs and since you contacted me on IRC the very same day I just gave you a short version of the reply there.
And yeah, it's pointless and impracticable to recruit and introduce one demo admin at a time. And one guy who is being introduced to all the stuff very soon (and already started having an insight) into demo stuff is the one you're talking to at the moment, juleeeh. Had had two big advantages compared to any other possible demoadmin, he has been demo admin at kzsca and know how to handle fps-death PLUS he is already admin so we know that we can trust him (plus he has spartime for more jobs, he's mainly taking care of the forums atm).
P.S: I doubt that XJ has an issue with demoreleases tbh. We simply prefer quality instead of quantity, there are a lot of newcomers these days and nearly all of them get an own background check (fakeaccount suspicion) + more cheatchecks than there used to be (in some cases special checks by eDark himself). Also there are a lot of other things taking place at XJ as well, so everyone need to turn away his focus from the record demos a bit imo. If you only like the records, cool, it's your choice, but that doesn't mean you can expect a demo release every day tbh.
volte, you didn't get me at all.
"non-admin outside people" is different than "admin".
We don't recruit new admins for side projects (95% of the time in fact), we recruit new admins for the regular jobs.
That's where you got confused I guess, even though it's a bit my fault since it wasn't 100% clear in my previous message.
i disagree about demos. if you just mean the new wave of 0:00:00 maps, then yes, save them up. but when you start hearing through msg's "oh xxx beat xxx, cant wait for rls!!", then yeah kinda wanna see it sooner than later.
I meant quality in matters of "no cheated demos" (or at least as little as possible), not the runs ofc ^^
