Cloud Atlas (2012)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1371111/
9/10

I can't remember the last movie that I watched, trying to understand the idea and failing. The 5(Story teller, past, present, future, post-apocalyptic future) different plots are awesomely combined. At first I thought it's a Lost season 6 plot, but it wasn't quite. It had some de-ja-vu parts and that induced me into error.

Great movie, would recommend if you have time.

Fun fact; The other day I watched a documentary about humans leaving Earth. The Idea was that a neutron start was going towards Earth. To some extent, the movie reached a similar end.

This movie was definetly one of the best movies that i've seen in my entire life. Amazing perfomance from actors, great music, fascinating jokes and lots of more, everything can be found in this movie. And the thing that i liked most - film was based on a true story. I really recommend u to watch this one, cuz this is exactly what good movie about!

Great movie by Christian Bale, he delivers a great act as always. Recommended for those who are looking for something "out of the ordinary", so to say.

Sunset Boulevard(1950)
Rate:9/10
The first movie I watched that directed by Billy Wilder, which won the 8th Oscar Best Picture&Director&Actress in a Leading Role.
A good story narrated by a dead guy,a poor pathetic young script writer,an old-aged woman with strong character and hell of money,a big lonely house,an occasional encounter,a unpleasant love,a reasonable cheat,a tragic ending.
It's said that this movie means much to the film industry coz the tragic story directly shows(for the first time)some problems when movies became from silent to vocal(the heroine was a famous actress for silent film who became deserted because of her age and the coming of sound film).

cloud atlas 2012

now this is what i call cinematography. the wachoswky brothers are simply two geniuses. they were the only ppl able to adapt the unadaptable novel into a movie. and what a movie... needs to be watched a few times not only to understand correctly the whole story but there're so many little details that deserve closer attention.
hats off everyone involved in this "project".

Heh, not anymore.

@Mik0: Sunset Blvd. was nominated for those awards, but, unfortunately, did not win any of them.

6 more days, and it's in Norway. I'm pretty hyped considering it's made by one of my favourite directors + it's starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz. The success Waltz and Tarantino had with Inglorious Basterds was also superb, this movie should kick some serious ass.

The Intouchables (2011)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1675434/
I don't watch comedy moves very often, but this one was recommended to me by some friends. It's about a paralyzed man looking for an employee to hire to take care for him. He hires, let's say, the most unqualified one of those. It turns to be a great movie, funny, but also captivating. I enjoyed it a lot. Also, it's in French, so props for that. Who ain't tired of 99% English movies?

Once Upon A Time In Norway

It's a documentary about the Norwegian "Brutal Metal" band "Mayhem".

Why is it a documentary about this band? Well, the band is responsible for some burned churches in Norway. One story the band is most know for is when the lead singer "Dead" committed suiciede. When the guitarist "Euronymous" found the body he did not contact the police, he ran and bought a disposable camera and took pictures on Dead's body. One of these pictures would later be used as a cover to their live album "Dawn of the Black Hearts".
