shot with a "jenoptik easy shot 5.0" like 5 years ago. it was my grandpas camera, cheap noname crap ~30-50€ online.

recently i bought my first cam, a 550d. i didnt start to get into it yet because i have a shit load of stress with exams right now. as soon as i'm free i will keep you updated with some beginner storys and pics! nice thread.

Is it the raw picture?
Pictures always need some post-processing, I strongly suggest you to get Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, even if you'll mainly use Lightroom.

What are your first impressions? how does it feel like?
I remember when I got my very first DSLRs in hands, I was as happy as if I was 8 year old and receiving a Nintendo 64 at Xmas :D

Nah it isn't raw! :)

I tried som stuff in Photoshop, but I don't know, it didn't make me satisfied so I figured it's best to post the original picture. Here's the edited pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rasmushhh/6891386241/ (btw, this place is called "Lillaholmen") =D

It felt fantastic, I'm still smiling since I bought it for 2hours I ago! I don't think I've stoped smile since! :D

Focus minimum distance depends on lens, not the camera itself.
For my 18-135mm, it's 45cm.
