oh it's the "back then everything was better" thread again.
In 2010 people complained about the community being so big and that noone knows each other and so many assholes joined the community, in 2014 people complain about the community not being as big as in 2010. Counter-Strike is dying, and mods like KZ, Surf etc. are feeling this process first.
There are couple of reasons why its like that:
- cs is not popular as before just look at steam stats 39,173 today and not only today. It used to be +100 000
- bad xj politics. I find this stuff the worst in the xj's history. Some things are just ridiculous there. No new big features for the people.
- people moved to other games like me
- check game "GunZ"

1) faker was the only one who acted impartial in all stuff regarding XJ unlike from the current management and also a few admins.
For example : When cyclopp was only a ROTW admin and I was making Community updates He complained to faker that I posted CU sooner than 24 hours after his rotw news.. Something that we could easily solve without faker being involved.. And this tells me how immature in some aspect cyclopp is. Once he stepped in as a CEO he started to abuse this privilege in other words Im the king and XJ is my kingdom. Furthermore, A few days after the management changed psyxopat ( already as a COO ) asked me about my future plans about XJ and Community updates. SO I told him I will continue as soon as I finish my exams regarding my new job.. And a few hours after this conversation he told me and I quote :
PsYxOpAt: i'm sorry to be the one who is gong to tell you this, but we no longer require your services in XJ and due to this i have to release you from your position as admin
So Im asking you psyxopat/ cyclopp , AGAIN ! : tell me the reason why I got kicked ? I dont wanna be a part of admin squad again under your supervision but u owe me a really good explanation about your actions.

Admins should represent XJ by helping ppl, etc.. I asked moxx what happened to the LNE interviews, I told him I miss them and so on. I asked him politely and he didnt even bother to answer me. I can see many guys being warned for disrespectful attitude towards admins, but have you ever thought of admins being disrespectful towards memebers ? I guess you havent.

There are also some valid points above which are not your faults like CS 1.6 is not so popular anymore etc. The more you should realize how fragile this community is nowadays. Ofc this community is reliant on members but you, head admins are dictating directions and its your responsibility to keep it interesting for visitors.
Im not saying you are bad people with bad intentions and I also know its a really tought job but you guys promised big changes and you're failing. And if it won't change drastically in the near future, you will bury down something that faker and others had been nurturing for almost 10 years.

My opinion is becouse XJ nowdays has between 150-200 active members who visiting XJ, every 5 to 10 type comments, so that is around 15-20 comments per news. demorelease has couple of more commets becouse there you only type "GJ".
with 150-200 members and no newcomers this community will be dead really soon. but be real most of nowdays kids starting to play dota2, world of tanks, bla bla cs 1.6 and CS:GO are past.
Last wave of newcomers was 2009 when i started to play.
P.S one more thing most of users dont want to comment news becouse there are group of r'fucken'tards who attack people becouse of bad english, i dont give a fuck for grammar or that shit, we are not in english class, this is gaming community.

Although I don't "like" the new staff too, its wrong to blame almost everything on them.
2010 was a great year, among with 2011.
You must realise that people like koukouz made jumping more interesting and everybody wanted to learn how to do certain techniques. That was the time when pros started including scrollducks/mcj/dcj/etc in their runs, fact that made everybody go nuts. People started doing movies for certain players, more and more tutorials were released, mapping was great even then, but mostly for cosyclimbing.
Now all we have are the god damn old techniques, already overgeeked(remember when theddy made 270dcj block with the front-prestrafe/new-prestrafe, unlike FoF ?) + old maps that got geeked by 5-6 players.
2010-2011 was the time when almost every map's record was refreshed ... it was a pleasure to watch the new techniques being used in ways that nobody ever imagined.
XJ still has a strict way of accepting maps ... thing that makes most mappers submit their maps for cosy, even if those are XJ-material.
Let's compare the movies released in 2010-2011 and then 2013-2014 (even if the year has just started) ... in 2010 I always came back from school at 3:00PM, heat my food, grab the plate and went to the PC. I was opening YouTube and there was atleast one new kz clip, if not an entire 3-5mins movie. Now what?! I've talked to some moviemakers to try and convince them to release new movies but they either don't feel like it, or don't have time ...
Weekly cups are a great motivational way of visiting the site, and even keep playing.
Now that KZMod is somehow back on, XJ MUST include it to their frontpage. Anyway, that's another subject.
2010-2011 : faker & staff came up with great ideas of making everything much more interesting ... ROTWs, Tournaments, movies, kreedz tutorials, interview, more frequent demo releases, and so on !!! ....
Things change ... sooner or later, this will die. It hurts to say it, but the truth it's always like that.
PS : You'll soon see some movies from me ... hope XJ will "promote" them just for a bit more activity.

A community does NOT solely die because of the "admin staff" controlling it.
When I look around here, I see a great deal of very negative people. 1 single energetic negative person can bring down a mountain full of positive people if he never gives up being negative. Think about this for a while.
If one person says "kz is dying"...he is essentially assiting directly in making it dead due to the power of suggestion.
People said KZmod is dead, so I came back and said quite frankly, KZmod is only dead if the players decide to stop playing because a game as it is, cannot die if people can still download it.
The same applies here. I look at the servers and both kzmod and cs servers are just dead. sometimes theres 3 or 4 playing on either of them but ...yeah....no family.
KZ is a fuckin family. Many left the family over the years for multiple reasons but i garauntee you one of them was because of all the negative flaming ungreatful unthankful little fuckin assholes who believe they own the planet and your mom too and truthfully do not give a shit whether you like what they say or not.
we call them: Psychic Vampires. They drain your positive energy. you begin to not like what you are doing and ask yourself why am i hear listening to this shit everyday.....and leave.
it is not the admins alone who kill a community. IT is 90% the community itself. You guys fight each other......you are not a family.

The only way to bring up activity and new players on this website is to make section of all maps for non-wr players to record demos, hire 3-4 demo admins and gg. WR holders can only record for curent wr section and noobs can record for nub wr section
becouse even people who plays 3-4 years has very big troubles to writte some wr, wr/s nowdays are just 2 sick, no one want to geek 5 months to beat wr and then previous holder to take back that wr in 15 minutes

On a more serious note, you clearly see how active the frontpage is, it's not. XJ is a community driven website, people were complaining about lack of content - newbreed team has been formed out of those guys, they've been given a chance to affect - not much have changed. To make an educated conclusion - activity is directly propotional to the will of community. If someone is to blame then it's yourselves.
It's sad that this thread has turned into one more thread to hate, although I guess it's my fault, dunno what I had to expect.
