Empty talks and demands, with the will the input would have been a lot greater.

No world records, no community, simple as that. Currently no human can beat more then half of the wr's. Half of them are cheaters, records are pushed to the max, it's like clock ticking to the zero and we are really close to zero. There must be idea to get new "noobs", I said noobs because in your world all humans compared to the currently record holders are noobs. WE NEED NOOBS GUYS, WE NEED NOOB RECORDS. If I visit the site as new player, new kreedz player I want the fucking chance in this cake.

CURRENTLY YOU LL EAT ONLY IF YOU GEEKED THE GAME FEW YEARS BACK, I MEAN 5+ YEARS, EVEN IF YOU DID, YOU LL HAVE SMALL CHANCE ELSE JUST STEP AWAY FROM THIS COMMUNITY, OR STAY IF YOU LIKE TO READ CHATBOX POSTs OR ONLINE MENU.

No need for 5+ years Niksa :P if you have the time to spend all day in front of pc in about 2 years you can get the skill to kill first 3 top players:)
But indeed, almost all records are so geeked that its just too hard for a 1 kz year player to think for doing something:(

SzczupaK25/02/2014 06:25

It's all about enterteiment! If coming to see the same site every day and u see same post u just leave. Most wr's are geeked so why dont clean them every year and award top5. Then start from beggining. Its like tv show there is a 1st edition and people getting award and after it there is a 2nd ediotion. If u would check number of players playin on kreedz servers in whole europe u would be suprised coz its 10x bigger than activity here. One is for sure administration can bring anything new so people getting bored.

Niksa you nailed the point so hard in this post!

Admins make wr section for humans pls, it maybe sound ridiculous but when community is falling admins must do critical desitions. dont forget demos=xtreme-jumps

Or release 200+ new maps so humans can record, but i prefer first option. completely new wr section for humans. massive activity will be 100 percent.

ALSO ONE THING: Becouse everydemo admins whining like a bitch(new ones) respect to thopa and tintin best demo admins ever, copeast and d2b can stop cup for 1 week ( if shooting-star is ok with that, same all players are taking the money ) and give demo admin a salary 50 $ so they will do release every week or get permanent banned for life. there are plenty of kids who have enough time to do releases and 50 $ will give them nice motivation, becouse they dont work and parents give them little money, so they can by mouse pad, mouse itc...

Everything makes a good point what you guys have told to be honest with you, but lets like see what is missing and what do we have now in these days of kreedz. I've been watching this site from 2009, untill i made an account, so basicly the people we're more friendly in a point playing just so because they liked to play the game not that they liked to geek to rank 1, everyone fall in order to grow, lose in order to win, nowdays the hatred is just huge, you see hated forum post hated chatbox posts hated demos hated people hated staff if you take a better look the site is hate, they started making cups with money all about the money like one way of motivation.
Cmon guys everyone know that back in the day people didint play for money or geeking rank 1, they played cause its fun, but sadly some people here have ruined the fun, and now its either being hated because you dont do anything that the people are willing, or be loved for what you're not.

I really hope that, this situtaion passes, everything in time reaches its period when it has bad experiences but lets hope we'll change that.

leggie25/02/2014 14:06

demos do mean almost everything to XJ.... but you have to be fully motivated to be a demo admin, i averaged a release just under every 2 weeks (22 releases/10 months) but i also had some problems in their with things like the CS update and other minor demo bugs which caused delays so you can do more on average than that, now for people saying the demos aint there to release well... you kinda gotta bug people for demos, something which i did with alot of recorders which i think should help. obviously XJ doesn't actually have a demo admin at the moment which is a shame and partly their own fault but partly other peoples fault aswell, the only thing that will keep XJ going is the community, not the admins (maybe eDark) but thats it really.

shNzrecord holder Tournament #225/02/2014 15:50

Recently I was thinking about the same thing. The amount of comments on every release/newspost seems to be reduced compared to years ago, which automatically brings the question whether it’s an activity issue. However, the answer to this question cannot be given with one simple word such as “yes” or “no’’, as it is a bit more complicated than that.
Nowadays, things are what they are because that was the course where we were heading to. I believe that today, we should not be perceiving KZ the way we did back then, in 2009 for example, as it has grown to a whole different level in almost every aspect. Change, as a concept of evolution is inevitable, but how can we make it just the way it was before? When it seemed that all of us had much more fun, servers were full and releases happened systematically. It’s simple, we just can’t. It is important to realize that things are never going to be the same as they used to, not only because the game itself has evolved, but because we are not the same people anymore. Most of the active people here, as I can see, are pretty much oldschool. And I believe the reason they are still around, is because of how much fun KZ used to bring into their lifes. It was just hell of a lot of fun, and as a result of that we have all developed some kind of a deep love towards KZ and XJ, because it made us smile and laugh our asses off on a daily basis. But today, believe it or not, most of us are just bored, without actually realizing it. Despite our great and warm feelings towards KZ, deep down inside we are all bored, and not because KZ is not cool anymore, but because most of us have just seen it all already. For all these years, we’ve seen and witnessed things we never thought we would. In my opinion, people nowadays barely get impressed when they see huge releases with demos like goldbhop and many others beaten to a pulp, just because they have seen it all many times before. By no means I’m saying everyone thinks it’s easy, it’s just not AMAZING anymore. People already understand how things work, that’s why they are not impressed anymore. It’s not like, you just saw heL^_x turning dg_winterclimb into a bhop map, and you wonder how the hell does he do all that. You don’t wonder about something like that anymore, because you already know perfectly how he does it. You understand what it takes to be so good. There is no mistery. Nothing is impossible. There’re so many non-pros around who have great knowledge and understanding of this game, and the reason they are not record holders is simply because they lack determination to become such. They understand how hard it is, so they just don’t go for it, because in their eyes it isn’t worth spending such a huge amount of time on something like this. There is no perspective in it. And that’s fine, because it’s true. People who usually succeed in KZ are those who do not care about anything but simply having fun playing KZ. They do not care about ranklists, fame and all that kind of shit, because they understand how insignificant that is. They do not care about “beating” world records, they care about CREATING records. Every world recorder is just a small step in the whole evolutionary process, because years from now (granted that XJ still exists of course and for some reason people are willing to record), non of the current record holders will be on the list. All of the current holders will be gone, because everything is transient, only the map names remain the same. Every record is going to be beaten again and again... Maps like goldbhop will be taken down to less than 1;20 and so on.. That, of course, is the ideal future and it would take a huge amount of time to get there, simply because people do not wish to spend so much time into creating world records, because it requires way too much motivation and dedication. Coming from my experience as a record holder, I can say that we are pretty much far from perfect records. Most of the maps can still be ridiculously improved, as long as there are people who are willing to do it. I don’t think adding a new record list for newbies is going to change the fact that world records are tough to beat. I don’t think there is a point in watching things that have happened years ago. There are so many record communities where people can practice their skills on all kind of maps, official and unofficial, in order to become good enough for the big scene. That’s why there are national communities at the first place. XJ has always been for professionals, and that’s the beauty of it. The record list today is just a reflection of the hard work many people have put into this game for years. It was never easy to get there, and it will never be.
All in all, I think the main problem KZ has to deal with is actually beyond our control. It will endure as long as there are highly passionate people who are willing to spend years of playing this game, just because it’s fun. I’m talking about 13 years old newcomers who perceive KZ as an ultimate way of having fun. It’s not the XJ management that lacks dedication and motivation to keep the scene alive, it’s the players who simply refuse to push the limits, because it’s too damn hard…

Dragon25/02/2014 15:51

1.6 died, that's what happened. All these new activities, staff, promises, that's just beating a dead horse. The most optimistic result of it is not losing members; attracting new ones is completely out of the question. Now, there are two ways how to get out of this shit. Either invest all in KZmod, but I doubt that's gonna be successful, despite soulfathers whining thread (just look at no. of dl's of kzmod maps), or, as much as I hate myself for saying it, start with csgo, even if it's a really horrible game. Afaik there are commands that allow you to actually bhop (that's a start). The success of this is questionable as well, as 1.6 jumping was also attractive because you could actually utilize those jumps in normal CW / pub.

finzer25/02/2014 17:09

isn't there a thread exactly like this one every time there's a big delay in the wr release?

-shnz got good points.
-also 1.6 didn't "die" per say, tons of servers are still packed (kz and/or shooting).

propanelj record holder25/02/2014 17:13

kz doesnt really die because xj loses activity.
hns still manages to keep going without any official community at all

ShoCkrecord holder Tournament #2 VIP25/02/2014 18:04(edited 25/02/2014 18:05)

That's true shNz, throughout all these years starting from the very beginning we have been developing new techniques, improving maps by minutes, seconds and then split of seconds, we have been learning the physics. Basically we have been evolving to then reach perfection because kz is of those games that is all about perfection, so I'll take a risk to say that we have finally reached that break point we've been heading to for all those years.

I've really stopped watching demos long time ago, even the most popular ones. I only occasionally watch demos of newcomers when there are such, just out of curiousity, but basically yeah I'm in a deficiency of interest for demos nowadays.

Let's play cups lulz.

SoUlFaThEr mapper25/02/2014 19:20(edited 25/02/2014 20:47)

Dragon i don't think you are right. The KZmod maps on XJ....have been there for less than a month. The main download of the game which got updated for ease of install shows few downloads also because its less than 2 weeks old there. SUPER shitty case and i didnt fuckin whine....i got people to move again.

CS:GO as an alternative....no way

Fire25/02/2014 19:51

There are a couple interesting points in this thread but I will say as a former admin, a lot of issues with this website fell on the amount of content that was being found.

XJ Weeklys become stagnant and stale in little to no time with out an abundance of information.

As for the LNE's I don't believe it is totally fair to pin the blame on Moxx for not continuing on with them at the rate he was. It is very hard to offer content that only people who have been around for a while appreciate while not getting much good feedback from the newer generation of users. There is also the issue of avoiding interviews that have been done 100x. ndr, zhady, supa, etc. While it is nice to have a look back on these players how many times can we ask yohan what his favorite drink is?

I do believe that there was some bad politics happening in XJ at some point or another, and I will take partial blame for that as well. I did develop some sort of weird ego while I was here at XJ and I know I was in the wrong now. A lot of really good staff has come and gone as well. Not everyone can be expected to write weekly for the rest of their lives or to run weekly challenges.

As for KZ Mod, I think it is excellent. Like most new 'renditions' of games, there will always be a slow transfer of players. I think it is wrong to judge KZ Mod simply off of the amount of downloads seen just from XJ however. That notion is just asinine.

A lot of work has gone into this community since day 1, at some point admins or no admins, it will be up to the community to keep it afloat.

KZ never dies, it just goes to hell, finds a new champion and then respawns.

5 years from now, same thread, same responses, same fear. I've seen this time and time again.

The intention of this thread was not alike those others but rather what exactly are those changes that served us a decline in activity, or perhaps it's not even activity but people being silent or stupid to discuss topics :)

Same old love story

Cobrex mapper Tournament #225/02/2014 21:02

I'd love to see Kreedz's proudly crying face right now ... what he created.

KZ will never die, it will still live through other games, officially or not.

Scary Tournament #225/02/2014 21:03(edited 25/02/2014 21:04)

I haven't read through this whole thread yet, but it just felt like one more of those, everything is going to hell kinda threads. I should've done it before replying though.

Well this thread is pretty active for starters, so maybe people aren't starting enough quality threads. Nothing will ever be as it were, everything is changing constantly. Maybe the forums are a bit inactive at the moment, but like recordholders it has it's ups and downs. Comparing the last three months of every year in the last 3-4 years, maybe there's a slight downfall, but there will always be years like this, some years are good, some years are bad, in terms of activity, it's not the end of the world. Whenever a new KZ master arrives he will rip so many records in a matter of such a short time that everyone will forget about all the times they thought it was the end.

It's basicly the same story over and over again. Wouldn't put too much into it. Then again, who am I to know, I only browse this site a couple of times a week.
