Pulsar me too HAHHAHH :D

KNiFEAR24/10/2007 21:39

he wrote fps death, did u guys think he's nuts at math or? ;)

soul v2.0 mapper24/10/2007 21:47

that's not even complicated math at all :F

just numbers with lots of decimal places -_-

KNiFEAR24/10/2007 21:57

well the computer handles the aritmetical operations anyways, but the solution might have been hard to state:D i dunno:D

Th1eF24/10/2007 22:01

im speechless about eDark's math skillz :/ i was just like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

bakeLit24/10/2007 22:19

No body geekz to me :( i told him that :(

How did you get that speed? I think that aint right, you can get it like this:
v=sqrt(2ah)
h is height of jump without duck, which is 45 units, that means vertical recoil speed is exactly sqrt(2*800*45) = 120*sqrt(5) ->
268,32815729997476356910084024775... units/s

And time in air of normal jump (with duck) is:
t=(sqrt(2h)+sqrt(2(h+d)))/sqrt(a) //d is the difference between jump with and without duck
t=(sqrt(2*45)+sqrt(2*(45+18)))/sqrt(800)
t=3(sqrt(5)+sqrt(7))/20 ->
0,73227289328465704303661841335558... second

OMG I admire you mathematic branz0rZ^. How the hell you can calculate such a stuff. :D

ooooohhh a challenger? Been a while since someone has challenged the mighty eDark!

s1gh09/07/2008 22:59

Well, since this thread is already up here, and there's a relatively big chance eDark will show up, I also have a question.

Is it harder to eb when ducking?

No.

Thanks for the explanation.

It's not really harder, but your player gets a bit wider when ducking. So it's a bit different from standing eb.

I have some other questions too.. how long u stay with @bhop ; @standup bhop ; @CJ (0.732... ?)

DiDo-Grecord holder10/07/2008 08:58

0,73227289328465704303661841335558 wich is approximately 1 :)

Gnomas10/07/2008 09:53

what about cj time, is it the same as lj?

NeMiQ2210/07/2008 10:51(edited 10/07/2008 12:25)

LJ, HJ, CJ, Spreader's weird bhop, WLJ: all of them have same "time in the air". 0.73...You are also in the air for this time if you only stand of the ground then jump and fall with pressing "duck".

BHOP w/ standup and w/o, NODUCK LJ, CJ, HJ, WLJ have shorter time. ~0.67s.

Maby I dont understand it, its possible true. But when someone does a 220 lj, and another does a 255 lj. Isnt it true that the 255 guy stays longer in the air? Because of the distance ..

Pulsar!10/07/2008 12:29(edited 10/07/2008 12:31)

raver, throw the tennis ball vertically upwards on 10 meters and with angle to horizon with maximum height of 10 meters.. The jump time in air will be the same !

The time of rising up (and the time of falling) in RL can be calculated with this formula t=sqrt(2*H/g), H - height, g - 9,81 m/sec*sec.

The same formula works in CS, but g in CS not 9,81 m/sec*sec, but 800 units/sec*sec. The time of rising up is T_up=sqrt(2*45/800)=0,3354 seconds, the time of falling down is T_down=sqrt(2*63/800)=0,3968, becouse u fall a bit longer, becouse of duck.. So, the total jump time it is summ of T_up + T_down = 0,3354+0,3968=0,7322.

The time in the air is same if you jump 220, 250, 260 units or do only this: stand of the ground then jump and fall with pressing "duck" as I mentioned before. The difference between 220 and 255 jumper is that 255 jumper is able to "fool" CS engine and in that 0.7322... seconds move his player model farther than 220 jumper with good prestrafe speed and large number good synchronized strafes.
