Community Update: Mecanicas Ocultas on j2s_4floors (Premiere), cup info + topo interview and more!

By CyniuThunder·

Hello Everyone!

Today we would like to sum up couple of community updates, as well as invite you to a Premiere of the newest edit on our channel. Without further ado, let's jump straight into it!

Mecanicas Ocultas on j2s_4floors

j2s_4floors has been a battlefield of many legendary players throughout the years. The list of names that have beaten the world record on one of the most popular maps created by s0liD has left an important imprint on KZ history. It's hard to name them all but in 2015 shNz established this map as his own territory. Now, in 2025 - 10 years later, we are witnessing a change - bulgarian bulldozer had to hand over his 4floors crown to a new king: Mecanicas Ocultas.

To celebrate the achievement we would like to invite you to the newest premiere on our main Youtube channel! This experimental edit by CyniuThunder is a mixture of a dark and mean drum&bass track, mysterious and heavy edit circling around bloody color pallette. All that tries to encapsulate the intensity of the run by the Argentinian player.

Enjoy!

Recent run edits

For those who are not following our Short News updates, here's a short update about two recent run edits that were also uploaded to our main channel.

rawe on kz_6fd_volcano is a run edit of rawe's world record and a tribute to 2009 movie "Rad - kz_6fd_volcano 1-15' by LoOk.

pepi on j2s_4tunnels is an edit solely focusing on showcasing pepi's world record run.

We highly encourage you to follow our Short News, where we consistently post info about new edits, mapping updates, newsposts from partnered communities and more!

ROTW/ROTM/ROTR

As mentioned HERE, with the switch to the live demo release system, there is no release newsposts anymore, therefore Run Of The Release videos have been discontinued. For now our editing focus is on Run Edits, which in practice are basically quite similar to what ROTRs were before. This way we can produce more content for the channel and we can highlight more runs and players. As mentioned before, if you have an interest in video editing and you would love your edit to be highlighted or even uploaded to our channel - feel free to reach out to CyniuThunder (discord/steam/chatbox). Whether it will be a run edit or any other KZ related edit, we can definitely discuss details.

One additional note to the ROTW/ROTM/ROTR - while currently we paused those series, they might come back in the future, for example as ROTMs (this could make sense from the POV of playlists on our new channel, described below). We will get back to you at some point with an update on that matter.

Second channel update

As announced in the newsposts here, we have started our second channel, to separate edited videos and clean demo recordings. It's also the place where you can find all reuploaded recordings that were unlisted from our main channel. Here's a little rundown of the changes and updates.

Throughout April, 701 clean run recordings were reuploaded, which were a part of 32 XJ Releases that were posted on the main channel before.

All of them are assigned to each Release and put into a appropriate playlists to keep them in order:

These videos are of course public, therefore they are now back and searchable through Youtube searchbar.

To differentiate them from our standard uploads, each of them have [REUPLOAD] tag added to the title, as well as a little info in the Description with dates and a release number (for example: 'Reupload. This run was a part of XJ Release #823 08.03.2025').

You might notice some gaps within Reuploaded playlists - for the most part in the last years, Kz-Rush was uploading XJ release recordings and put them into their playlists. To keep all of them in the reach of your mouse, they are linked on the channel (105 playlists), but these remain uploaded by Kz-Rush.

Our main dish corresponds to the new release system. Since we moved on from classic WR releases, for all new uploads, we have playlists that are grouping WRs by month (and year):

On top of that, we have all the longjump records (current TOP10s) - these playlists are still in the making and videos are hidden for now. They will be released some time early next week, probably in one big bunch, as they are also reuploads.

+ some further reuploads (those playlists will also serve as a place historical longjump records, once we'll have some new TOP10 entries, records that will get out of TOP10 will be moved there):

So once Longjumps are done, we will stop the reuploading phase (with some small exceptions, for example if we find yet another hidden vid, but those would be just one or two vids here and there). From then onwards, all new uploads should be a new World Records or new Top10 entries, therefore we highly encourage you to leave a sub on the new channel KREEDZcom Records

Bonus: While browsing the Kz-Rush channel, some KZ Mod playlists were found, therefore they are also linked at the bottom of the channel:

Tournament Stats + topoviygus interview by MEDVED_EBUN

We would also like to have a few words about the recent tournament. First of all, I'd like to express a heartfelt thanks once again to everyone who was involved in the making of the tournament. Without a group effort of such propotions, none of this would be possible.

Secondly, based on the peak viewers of all streams, we reached a peak of around 2000 concurrent peak viewers, thus making it one of the most, if not the most, viewed 1.6 KZ tournaments of all time! Let's hope in the future that we will not only be able to replicate such numbers, but surpass them!

Also, I'd like to have a special shoutout to Amandin and meechy from CS:GO KZ for not only helping us with casting, but for also promoting the tournament on kzcomp.com. Very soon, we will have a permanent link to the website on kreedz.com, where you can follow all types of kreedz competitions, be it from 1.6 KZ or CS:GO KZ!

In fact, one will be happening very soon, so make sure you check it out!

With that out of the way, I'd like to also share a quick interview with topoviygus which was conducted right after his win versus patchouli. The original interview was done in russian on MEDVED's stream.

However, thanks to him for translating it in english!

T - topoviygus ; M - Medvded_ebun ; P - Phantometry ; O - outside
Disclaimer*: Some parts have been slightly edited out to focus on the interview part.

M: How does the victory feel? Do you think your opponents are in a very good shape now or that you and patchouli are not in prime doesnt count as a victory?

T: For the entire tournament i would say patchouli isnt in prime at all, but in the finals it felt like she warmed up and got closer to her real shape. Kappa is in prime for sure, I just got lucky against him.

M: I got the feeling that you were picking templebhop only because you expected people would make mistakes there. What do you think about this? Why did you always pick templebhop?

T: I just won everyone at templebhop, it was my best map in tournament. I didnt come up with anything and just picked my best map.

P: I also wanna ask what else is comfortable for you besides templebhop? Was it funny to always get fog2s on holy_lame?

T: No, not funny at all..

M: Why couldnt you land first block when you played against kappa?

T: Lags, ddos...

P: What happened in the end? Have you got lags for real?

T: Yes, my internet died.

M: Did you feel you can win on sandblock against patchouli?

T: Yes, 100%.

P: Who was the most unpleasant opponent besides kappa?

T: Patchouli. I would say patchouli is more unpleasant than kappa.

P: Did they play against each other?

T: Dont think so.

P: It would be very interesting to watch.

T: Patchouli combines everything like me in prime in tournaments, kappa just got insane fogs, but he is not as skilled as patchouli, he will not come back in run and won't make a big difference in run. He just wins because of fogs.

P: There was a moment on timberbhop where he made insane combos against xiao, just 1 second remained.
M: Yea, he just didnt get boost on water, he could won that match. By the way, did you watch other matches or just focused on your own game?

T: I watched in spectators on the server.

M: Who exceeded your expectations? Maybe Dolphin, Echo?

T: Xiaoai. His fu_extreme pick and run were amazing.

P: Do you know who this guy is?

T: No, i have no idea.

M: Bicapone from chat asks what are you going to spend the money on?

T: I will buy wooting.

O: Which one will you buy?

T: 80he.

M. People in chat ask also ask will you ever record goldbhop again and what is better: 1.6kz or cs2?

T: I will not record goldbhop. 1.6 kz is 50 times better.

M: Why is 1.6 kz better?

T: Because 1.6 kz is random and thats why it is so good. Bugged engine, billion of different mechanics which you cant find in other games.

P: Game physics are very nice, cs2 is casual.

T: I like cs2 kz because there are no perfects in it and mouse movement with keys pressing matter a lot, while scroll doesnt matter at all.

P: Is there some kind of community there like xj?

T: Yes, it is not released officially yet, but soon it will be done.

P: Do you plan to stream kz more in future or just join tournaments? You have many viewers tho.

T: I dont know, maybe. I think usually i will stream faceit.

P: You need to fix bitrate though.

T: Ye ye, its my internet, i will change my provider soon.

M: Phantom said you've got like 1050 viewers today? Is it your biggest amount of viewers for now?
P: I think it was like 1200 today.
M: Thats crazy.

T: I've got like 1100 before but with raid.

M: Do you think is it possible to find more mechanics in 1.6?

T: No, i think everything has been found already.

M: Well, I honestly admit we found with Kpoluk a bug a bit related to plugins which allows you to jump at 64 units blocks. That's why i feel it's possible to find more mechanics.

T: Maybe, maybe. Everything is possible with this engine.

M: People in chat ask how old are you? 21?

P: I am 22.

M: Do you know how old is patchouli?

T: I have no idea.

P: Were you nervous?

T: To be honest it was my most nervous tournament ever.

P: Well, prize pool is solid here.

T: Nah, i dont care about prize pool at all. Its because im not in prime while kappa and patchouli are.

M. Did amount of viewers on your stream somehow affect on your nerves?

T: No, i would be nervous even without stream. I told you these kz tournaments are unique. I am not nervous only when im in super prime.

M: Last question from chat: what maps would you like to see in next tournaments?

T: New maps, any new maps. Preferably maps where you can do many bhop combos like on hb_dropzone where you can bhop all map. I would like to see maps where you can comeback making great combos. It would be very interesting in cup.

P: Why not surf maps? Just chill and surf.

T: No, haha.

P: Ok, a few last words from you.

T: Amazing tournament, i will play more if they make it again. I've got very nice emotions and feelings.

With the interview out of the way, I'd like to also announce that we will add very soon a tournament fundraising bar for the next big seasonal tournament, which would likely happen during the summer. Once we reach the prize pool goal, we will host the next tournament, so stay tuned!

Talk of the Town: Forums Returning Soon!

This has been one of the most requested features by the community for a long time—and the wait is nearly over! The forums are almost complete and will be launching very soon.

Initially, we planned to bring them back in a read-only state, purely for archival purposes. But after some thought, we’ve decided to go all in. The forums are returning in full force! Not only will you be able to browse all archived content up to 2021, but you’ll also be able to create new threads and posts once again.

We believe this will be especially helpful for users who cannot use Discord, making communication and feedback more accessible directly through the website.

Yours,

Kreedz.com
