Summers are great here, at least in Stockholm. Ok the temperature isnt as high as places like Spain duh. But we have constant 25-30 degrees which is nice.
Common misconception with Sweden, we have the best seasonal weather. Cold freezing winters and beutiful hot summers. It's not like it's -10 all year round here and we dont live with polar bears.
you dont live with polar bears? :O
but you do live in iglu`s right? right? please tell me thats not a lie! :(
imo, the problem with the government is simple enough... the old bastards are still there... and until they fucking die or leave their places to a younger generation, the country will still run like it runs now... anyway... i`m very sure i wont be alive to see that :)
change doesnt happen over night... and thats a fact
Bulgaria has (one of) the most beautiful girls and nice history, that's all. Everything else is fucked up. :(
I love how most of the people here think their country sucks.
I don't think they think their country sucks...
The thing is that, about anything, there are always bad points and good points, unfortunately the ones we always remember and focus on are the bad ones.
From all the countries I have seen, I can't say I'm not lucky to live in France. We got the best health system of the world, one of the best social system too, school is free, we are the most visited country in the world thanks to the huge variety of landscapes/weathers.
If you come to France, you have many choices, visiting the lovely Paris, skiing in the Alps or going to the South at the seaside where all the international stars come. For such a small country it's not that bad :)
There are of course many bad points (university is not that good, insecurity around big cities, low wages, unemployment even if you studied for a long time, etc etc etc...)
French language is also something I consider as a big advantage, especially if you travel around the world, french accent makes girls fall like flies (tested and approved) :P
If you like history, studiying ours would take you your whole life, there are castles everywhere, museums, etc.
About girls, the only bad thing about french girls is that they're a bit shy, men have to talk to them first, that's like the first gold rule about relationships in France :D
Well if you wanna know something else about my country, just ask :)
true dat we got great history, we were once one of the greatest contries in the world, our literature developed rly much, way beyond other contries.
but hey the name of the thread is "tell us about ur country" atleast i think i should talk about the present, not the past. and our present? its just like how i said it in the 1st comment - shithole.

We don't but I think the Norwegians might.
yup you are right. we live in tents or igloos, some people actually have tamed polar bears, but mostly they are just going around in towns being a big threat to people.
pretty much everyone has a reindeer or more. at winters the snow covers half the house. all of us do sami rituals every day.
England is a shit hole full of terrorists and polish, atleast we have the premier league. and btw scotland sucks.

Oh my god, than
Jeg elsker Norge
In Finland we still live in caves and igloos, we have to hunt polar bears and seals for food, shelter, clothes and use their bones to create tools and weapons (that we use for battles and tribal wars against other finnish tribes and ofcourse for hunting). Polar bears aren't just killed, but there are special "farms" for them; there are feeders and trainers for the polar bear cubs - they're being trained as mounts.
As wRath mentioned about norwegian people having reindeers, so do us finns - we use polar bears and reindeers for cargo transportation, "vehicles" (also sleds that are pulled by a pack of dogs) and even as pets. Without wildlife in Finland there wouldn't be any kind of life, because we, the people, are fully dependent on them. Once an animal is killed, all parts of it HAVE to be used for a reason; the unedible meat parts are fed to the dogs or polar bears.
Finland is known as the land of a thousand lakes (atleast for finns), but the truth is that only a single tribe can claim a source of water as their own. Tribal wars are a part of our everyday-life, because we must battle for food and water sources not to mention the other reasons. The tribe I am a part of (the Jarhars) has claimed a lake and a large amount of land as our own - all unauthorized passengers are interrogated and often killed, as there are spies.
There is alot to tell about Finland, but shortly said: Finland is a primitive country. There are hundreds, even thousands of tribes, of which some are "cave-tribes" (less common), igloo-tribes or travelling tribes. The cave-tribes consist of less people than the other 2 types (igloo/travellers) because a single tribe lives inside a single cave; limited room. Igloo-tribes are undeniably the largest communities and most superior due to their ability to choose the strongest location for different sources. The last "tribe-type", travellers, are a fairly small group of tribesmen travelling from place to place using water/food/other types of sources quite heavily; they're the most hated tribes because of their habit to trespass and steal. Each and every single tribe has some sort of friction between eachother, but quite often the members of an igloo-tribe might seek out/accept the help of the members of a cave-tribe to battle against the thieving, disrespecting travellers.
P.S: the Jarhars is a fairly large igloo-tribe consisting of over a thousand habitants. People become what they choose to become out of the few options; hunters, craftsmen, "farmers"... each tribesman must be efficient in what they do, because we're living in very tough times.

How you guys making electricity/internet? You buying it for furs from Sweden ?
A very nice guess, Trolis! We actually use squirrel fur as currency, but the electricity we have isn't bought from anywhere.
Each type of tribes have their own ways of getting electricity, and our own tribe, the Jarhars (an igloo-tribe) uses polar bear fur. We rub the polar bear fur with a surface (I guess its some sort of polished skin/leather) that creates friction, and therefore electricity. We harness the power by collecting it with more polar bears; we dress the polar bears with a steel armor that holds it all in itself - the polar bear is very resistant to electric shocks because they eat alot of intestines and lemon juice.
A few tribes have expanded to the northern parts of Sweden, but as far as I know there isn't much trade going on with them, because the swedish tribes are hostile towards the finnish tribes due to the "Big Seal War" at 1740.
The "Big Seal War" was a long, bloody battle. It lasted for years, but it felt like decades. There was a seal that once ate moss somewhere in Finland, and every time it had to defecate it went to the farming areas and pooped to the food of the swedish tribe animals. The animals, ofcourse, got sick and they died - the swedish tribesmen found out that the great perpetrator was a finnish seal. They began a voyage to discuss with the finnish tribes about the issue, and they asked for compensation, after all everything they lived off had vanished. The finns didn't want to bargain with the untrustworthy swedes and decided NOT to give out their helping hand to the troubled tribes - the swedes had to find out a way to keep on living, so they attempted to steal livestock from the finnish tribes. At first their attempts turned out unsuccesfull and all finnish tribes started hating them for attempting to steal from them. The swedes were outraged by the accusation and a war was born - the finnish tribal soldiers had an upper hand and they defeated the swedish tribes, by killing everything in sight. Even up to this day people claim, that the fallen soldiers of Sweden attempt to steal farm animals from some finnish tribes and the "tradition of hatred" is kept alive.

BEST !!!!

haha lies..."constant 25-30 degrees". Plz call me when u have 30 degrees and I will come....
Well, I live in the south part of Bulgaria and I can say that the summers are pretty hot (like 30-40 degrees Celsius) mby in the other parts of the country is hot too, but atleast the weather on the Black Sea's beach is fine and thats OK for the tourists. But note that we have pretty cold winters too... so we (bulgarians) are addicted to any drastic climate change(well its not like from desert to freezing cold, but still) :P and as for the natural's disasters, we don't have such stuff as tornados, floods but we got earthshakes(good thing that I missed most of them :D)
