Cheating: VNS

fact is that cheated demo managed to get released. and the bigger problem is that there is a cheat better than this (detectable because of the key word) one. so admins?

this was back in 06 when edark was 15 years old. His IQ is likely to be a bit higher nowadays. jk..
anyway then link your 4caves demo and show the weird lines in it

I have an weird feeling of deja vu here.
A guy, trying to get someone else spotted for cheat, and being proven guilty about cheating in a recent demo, because he wanted to prove the deficiency of xj's tools.
Two years ago or something.

About the thread, I think Fame should be banned, at least temporary, it' not like I have any grudge, I don't even know you, but rules are rules about cheating demo, and you were proven guilty before you talk to us about it, so we can't be sure about the reason you posted the demo in the first place, even if it look like a good one ( but still a bit stupid) to do so.

And about VNS, why just not stop the war, and check its demos in depth, slowly and not with precipitation ?
We have all the time we want, it's not like his wr will disappear during the night, you already have all the proofs about his innocence or guilt.

I'm not an admin, it's not like I have any right about all that, but I think it's the most reasonable thing to do here rather than to get worked up here.
But remember the demochecker are human, and could be influenced, so don't let your feelings take over the fact.
You can have cheating friend who don't talk about it. I met a lot of good guy who were proven cheater in the end ( and they're still good guy ).

Ryderc actually fame wasnt found guilty by XJ checkers so for now he is ok till an admin checker comes and tell his demos are with "dirt" why is need some1 else from out side come and spot the cheated demos? why leggie could fin something and our admins not? well im here to read not to post becayse i dont know much about demochecking so lets just see whats happening next:P

It's been some years that I hang on the forum, and it's not the first time or the last time that cheater get busted here before XJ's staff.
At least, he has the right to talk about his research, and it's the admin's job to look at it and take it in consideration.

Fame is right in that point, there is no perfect tools to check the demo.

so we need demo admins right... ok SO pu9maker the legend himself messaged me a while back really interested in demochecking... so i gave him a few tips and a bit of advice with some minor tools and he's starting to learn things so at some point he will become a demoadmin i guess NOW here lies another 2 problems, as i stated before that nikita demo should simply be removed but cyclopp wont do that because he wants to investigate nikita and doesn't wanna spook him (cos that makes friggin sense) so he's letting an illegal demo stand for no reason really... and as i've said i also provided proof about somebody else cheating which they basically arn't doing anything about because eDark isn't around to check them and see what i already proved so they wont be removed and that guy wont be banned... and EVEN WORSE i'll just c/p a bit of a chat log for you guys.
