Even oldschoolers abandoning people like t3d, target & helferlein, really shows how exponential the skill-level is. The modern day jumpers are just so many levels above, that it's not even comparable, even though the playingfield were even back then, it surely wasn't the same overall level as it is today.

Toffifee is a great player, but whatever quality he has, shooting-star has the same, so it comes down to comparing numbers and achievements, in which ss dominates

Anyway my personal take on this is patchouli. Despite her not having that many wrs, the things ive seen from her compared to other jumpers are just on another level. She can do wrs effortlessly on the stupidest leble maps, through the classic climb and bhop maps and finally the hardest cp/tp maps. Theres just something about her that tells you this when you spectate, and ive spectated a lot of these players in this list.
Pretty sure toff even accused her of cheating once. :D

it seems universally agreed that papa is a "she" hah. one thing about THE "her" astonished me is that in the XJ "just beat it" cup (cannot remember the exact name) , the demo kzno_xtremeblock that was beaten by 2s from the former demo of herself, was recorded in an internet cafe

I don't think that anyone would set hamachi and would have 6 hours uptime in a net café. Who told you this?

papa and her friends are active in a chinese kz forum, i once post a question concerning spectators in the kzno_xtremeblock demo (i didn`t realize that lan server could have spectators) and one of the spec with chinese name????( hope i am not breaking any law :D) told me Stephen, papa and himself were in an internet cafe watching papa beating the wr. setting hamachi might for lower pin when connecting to remote servers, i have no idea, 6 hours in a net cafe is quite common and myself do so often

It's a toss-up between shNz and LEWLY for me. Both of them made a huge impression on me and proved their superiority over their contemporary rivals. One could even go as far as say that they reinvented KZ with the margins they were beating old records with.

Honorable mention has to go to zhady, who was a huge inspiration for a lot of people in the scene and dominated the game for years.

All eras had their best KZeir at the time and who was/is the best of all is a matter of preference but almost we all can agree that shNz is the best bhopper.

I think dck's argument is that shNz had consistency over all the years and not just in one specific time like stromzz or zocker, he could compete with the oldschool guys and the newschool guys.

Still, I think this is only relevant for his bhops, best bhopper doesn't make you the best player of all time.
