Mapcheck team discuss
07/09/2007 18:04Ok, just a short answer on this.
There are so many things i would like to say but i keep it as short as possible.
First things first:
- you are totally right with the delay of the mapchecks the last weeks. Reasons has been allready mentioned.
- Yes risk_compound has a shortcut that destroys the map, but it can only be fixed by tommy cause its his map, and he left because hes lost the fun in doing things for this community. So No tommy = no fix
- The last map release wasnt a really good one, cause the head admin who made this, came home late at night after a party and thought something like "aehh ,uhhh maprelease +BULP+". Thats why this release was buggy.
- I can understand that Pfollzor is mad angry, but trust me this wasnt done on purpose. It was just a stupid mistake we made and we apologize for this.
- I wrote the factsheet, that has been created for your sonic map by the WHOLE TEAM, and you didnt understood it. Then wrote something like "uhh the fragger guys cant talk english" (btw you are not really Dr.English). I joined the channel and tried to explain the meaning of it. You refused to understand on purpose just to make me angry. I called you an idiot, a thing im sorry for cause this wasnt very polite.Result was you kicked me from irc with the words, go home you brainsick fucked up kreedz checker kiddie. So you might understand how this fucks me up, esp cause im 29 years old playing counter strike for 10 years and my first kz map 5 years ago.
You claim that you didnt mentioned names at this thread and get personal? rofl maybe you ask Angie what she thinks about you. Especially cause you act like a friend when you are at ventrillo and at the next day you write something completly different at the forum.
That gets me to the next point, and this is just a Fact.
You are the one moaning the most about bugs and stuff in new maps, but refuse to fix the ones at your own maps at the same time.
You once said someone who cant handle negative critizism should go to the doctor , and you were the one usually get in rage when this critizism comes down on yourself.
Another thing is, when you were at the mapcheck team, you wasnt able to check the maps, cause you didnt had the time. We had like 20 maps back then, and you checked 2 within a time period of two weeks. So you was removed by stukad for your inactivity, and now you make drama again about the inactivity. And maybe you see my point, by finding this really weird.
You accuse other persons for the things you aint better at and nobody can take it serious then.
But anyway ill leave this thing, and thats probably the best you have ever heard from me. Gratz you made it!

07/09/2007 18:45I only made some jokes with translators to show you how peoples are going to fuck off when they are going to use some different translators. (Because a translator can't handel it when you mean a function on hammer or not)

I wrote the feedbacks on friday and dalai had done it too(and on saturday morning we good kicked). dalai and me gived on the last friday on all maps which wasn't check from us feedbacks. but this wasn't enough? But it seems so for stukad and angie because dalai and me didn't had enough time.
And it was good for me because i could see from an outside person how the mapreleased would be.
The onliest reason why i didn't wrote a new application was. That the team wasn't really good organisated. Thinks were done without any discussion with the teammembers and so on.
So such a big team is going to build up it needs for sure to be discussed with the teammembers in the team. And that wasn't.

Half of it is right. Me is a friendly person you can ask serveral peoples. When me is in a voicechat, i'm trying to speak friendly about the situations. But after the big ventrilo sections with testing the maps and so. I'm going to make my own tests with the map and then me isn't acting like a group when some one is going to say thats shit. Then i'm not going with the group thats why i am going to make the second testings on my own.
And thats the reason why in the forum posts are other feedbacks then in the voicechat.
About the angie thing, thats right that me hasn't any good relationships. Because of our last discussion in #mappers. I told hear the meaning of my feedbacks and when someone is taking the feedbacks personaly that she is in the wrong buissnes.

OK WOW, stop being freaking kids and GROW UP! Shizuka's maps probably got released early because at beta check there were almost NO BUGS and people had seen earlier versions and already seen ti and was a VERY good and well made map. Also, i checked ALL the maps when they were submitted, even the KZCN maps that made up about 10 of those and weren't even worth looking at. I gave feedback on EVERY map that i tested and that was the full extent of my job. I had done what im signed on to do so don't go include everyone in your little rant about what you think happened and why your angry over something ridiculous like this. Bugs in map release omg!! Yet you refuse to fix your own damn map.. GG. Changes will be made and the map check team has come together, the active ones, discussed and found our problems and are fixing our weak spots, this thread doesn't need to keep going just to flame individual people or some you might not like!

Ok, im still pissed off. What the fuck happened to my senskz_toonblock. I submitted it a good 1-2 months ago yet i haven't gotten one word from it since the beta check. I had to PM FragmcCraken to get a damn response. I'm just wondering if you still fucking care about my maps...or no?

08/09/2007 10:04i would suppose a new team, with MORE ACTIVE admins, and if there r more admins, mapchecking goes faster.
And the admins SHOULDNT be uberpros, give some chance to the med skilled mappers/jumpers too ( so that u will have more and more admins).
The checking system should be changed too imo, the old xj system would be nice as dEMolite already said :
i think we don't need a betacheck section.
it should be the old check like on XJ where are 4facts given and the checkers was filling the factsheet out.

this is just my opinion, but i think everything would work well ( maybe not perfect :( )

09/09/2007 18:50i like the idea of having medium skilled checkers as well, because what is considered average difficulty has changed. if a mapper wants a map to be an easier difficulty, he should use that type of tester :)
