Everything have an end, nothing is forever. Counter strike as game reached limit long time ago, and people, at least most of them got bored of this game, upcoming generations are less interested into this game. And now we have cs:go who took lead of all eSport leagues, simply it's time for something new, something fresh. Kreedz is pretty much still alive, but less comparing to the times of bright. If it's not here, on xj, then one some other communites like Cosy climbing and so on, where demo release are every 2-3 days, take a look on some of national communities. XJ is doing good job with acitvites, they brought back weekly (or now community update), then LNE, ROTW classic, these stuff improved community activity a lot. But as i said before, everything have an end...

Yes but kicking counterstrike from eSport leagues will make most of people less playing cs and switching it off with cs:go. Even though counterstrike still has a way bigger popularity than cs:go.

It is solely a matter of business. Nobody from Valve management gives a damn, as far as they recieve more money. You can't stop this kind of developement.
02/06/2013 10:33I think the main reason KZ is dying is because NAPZ got banned. Ever since then, kids have lost interest in the site since they can't watch his legendary demos anymore. :(

no new jump diversity. compare it to defrag or similiar games.
afterwards you will get bored of jumping because new maps doesnt make anymore fun because of your jumping premonition. just looking down on the ground and you will still find the right way.

Sadly, there's no charm in demoreleases anymore.

02/06/2013 14:28(edited 02/06/2013 14:35)All of you are missing something different , different techniques , styles , map styles and diversity crying about demos being hard to beat that there is less competition yet there is a standalone free game developed directly for the community of kz climbers all around the world ( kzmod ). This games offers everything you guys are missing. New maps , new techniques , new styles of level design , new competittion , and a team that can fully support the communities needs. And to be honest the game is more fluid and plays better than the original. I can play both at the same time w/o any problems. The problem is in your heads. Majority of you didnt even try it but you keep hating and bashing. Kzmod can start the new age of kreedz. And dont tell me its missing something or it being hard to run for best performance. Its 2013 and most of you guys have pcs better than the development team.
Its funny to me reading these type of threads while knowing kzmod is here for you guys , the players who are simply ignoring it and overseeing the possibilities it offers for nostalgia that you cant pull yourselfs through.

and to be honest,everyone here knew this 3 years ago already. cs is a super old game and one day it'll run out,it was one of the best games but oh well times change

Actually, valve i making lots of money from steam, even more than they will make from cs:go or any other game. I think money is not the only thing why are they doing this, maybe they want to find a good replacement for 1.6 or to start new era of fps games (as they did with 1.6), who knows actually...

To some cs had to go anyway, cause of the age/development/advancements/marketing policies etc.
To me it's the declining retirement of the players whom I saw growing up and find no clinging point to it anymore.

Well I just didn't like the way you expressed your opinion. You made it sound so dramatic by repeating things. Of course everyone is free to say what he/she thinks and I am no different from that and I befriend with the idea of expressing your opinion freely.
However the only chance to see kreedz living up is advertise XJ,get friends over here or support XJ directly by donating. And to me KZ is always just a fun-part of CS,and at some point we will lose all the CS players and then KZ will die out soon. I believe every game is gonna be dead at some point and CS lived actively for about 15 years (or whatever) and that is an insane time in times of rapidly evolving technology.
