Come on, you are getting ridiculous, any infectious diseases expert will tell you that the coronovirus is not particuliarly dangerous. 80% the cases are equal to a harmless flu (http://www.chinacdc.cn/en/COVID19/), stop spreading fake rumors that you read on twitter. That "30% reduced lung capacity" is just based on 3 cases from 12 patients and they already had issues, a flu can also gives you pneumonia by the way... From the current epidemiological data we have right now, there are no reasons to have such a psychosis (and I'm not the one saying it but multiple doctors and infectious diseases experts). Actions taken by the governments are a mix of collective anxiety and political decisions, they better have to make more than not enough.

God damn idiot. And you're referring to a Chinese government funded study? At least use sources from trusted studies. Not from a country that relies heavily in fabricated information under severe government surveilance

At some point the government will test just these severe cases... When a medical system collapses, who would spend testing capacity on those with mild symptoms when you can save the other one who actually needs saving.

Although the death rate when person is not treated by hospital cannot be estimated from available stats, when treated (or if went unnoticed) it will almost certainly be much smaller than official numbers. My reasoning?

Most of the cases go unnoticed. As for KR, now we have around 0.9% deathrate including official number of CONFIRMED cases. Of course, some people will not make it through, but based on chinese numbers, it will not be more than another 1%.
Another good example is China. At worst, they had around 75k confirmed with 20k reported in critical condition. How many went unnoticed? Based only on these numbers, there had to be tens, maybe hundreds of thousands mild-symptom cases.

The dealbreaker would be that higher real death rate in Europe is caused by something in the genome that Asian immunity blocks and European doesn't. Do you believe that?

EDIT: That lung capacity issue is bound to pneumonia, which is just very dangerous itself. Please don't develop pneumonia :)

Been working at sea on a cargo ship for 3months and now when it's time to get back home by the end of the next week (my contract ends) , they say that country is under emergency state, closed country boarders and all kind of passanger transportation is forbidden... So I'm kinda worried if i will get back home or will have to sit on board a ship for atleast 1 more month.

I can't wait to see the movie that will be made in future about coronavirus, it's surely gonna happen.

I don't think this will blow over soon. I'm guessing somewhere mid summer.
